Sustainability
Style with purpose.
Let’s be honest—sustainability can feel a little overwhelming at times. But for me, it’s about the small, meaningful choices that add up to something bigger. When I started Moore Jewellery, I knew I wanted to create jewellery that wasn’t just beautiful but also thoughtful. The kind of pieces you can wear on repeat (and trust me, you’ll want to) without feeling like they’re part of a throwaway culture.
It all starts with the materials. I work exclusively with natural pearls, unique gemstones, and gold-plated accents chosen not only for their beauty but also for their durability. These are investment pieces, designed to last and to grow with your wardrobe, not against it. Every time you put one on, it’s a reminder of the care that went into its creation—and the care you’re taking to support something that values quality over quantity.
Then there’s the process. Each necklace is made by hand in my studio in New Zealand, which means zero mass production. It’s slow, considered craftsmanship, where every piece feels a little like a love letter—both to the materials and to the people who wear them. And because everything is made in small batches (some designs are even one of a kind!), there’s a layer of exclusivity that makes these pieces feel extra special.
I also think a lot about waste—how to reduce it, reuse it, and, when it comes to packaging, keep it as minimal and recyclable as possible. When your necklace arrives, it’s beautifully wrapped but not at the expense of the planet. It’s luxury with a conscience.
Sustainability isn’t about being perfect—it’s about progress. For me, it’s about creating jewellery that doesn’t just elevate your outfit but also reflects your values. Because when you choose something made with care, it’s not just a win for your wardrobe—it’s a win for the world.
